Cracker Pudding


4 c. milk
1 c. ctacker crumbs
1/2 and 3/4 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
2 eggs, separated
3/4 c. coconut
1 tsp. vanilla


Put milk in pan, and as it warms up, add cracker crumbs. Bring to a boil. Stirring often. Mix yolks of eggs with 3/4 c. sugar. Add coconut and vanilla. Cook until it thickens. Put in casserole dish.

Topping: Meringue
Beat egg whites, add 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar. Then add 1/2 c. sugar slowly, when stiff put over pudding and set in oven until brown. About 10 to 15 minutes.
