Old Fashioned Sugar cookies
Ingredients:
2 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
2 eggs
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. sour milk
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
4 c. flour
1 tsp. nutmeg
2 c. sugar
1 c. shortening

Directions:
Mix sugar, salt, shortening and eggs. Mix dry ingredients and add alternately with miLk. Roll out dough on floured board, handling dough very lightly. Sprinkle dough with sugar and cut with cookie cutter.Put on greased cookie sheet and bake at 350 for 15 to 20 min. Yields about 4 doz., depending on thickness and size.
