Creamed Dried Beef
Ingredients:
1/4 lb. dried beef
4 Tbs. butter
4 Tbs. flour
2 1/2 c. milk
6 slices toast
1/4 lb. dried beef
4 Tbs. butter
4 Tbs. flour
2 1/2 c. milk
6 slices toast
Directions:
Shred dried beef into small pieces.
Melt butter in heavy pan and add dried beef.
Cook until edges begin to curl and beef is slightly browned.
Sprinkle flour over dried beef and allow to brown slightly
Slowly add liquid and cook over low heat, stirring constantly.
Cook until smooth and thickened.
Add more milk if necessary. Serve on toast.
