Ingredients:
1 c. sugar
4 eggs
1/2 c. oil
1 tsp. salt
1 c. flour
1 lb. pitted dates
4 c. pecann halves
1 Tbs. bourbon

Directions:
Combine sugar, eggs and oil; beat well. Add dry ingredients, mixing well. Fold in dates, pecans and bourbon. Spoon into greased and floured loaf pan (9x5x3). Start loaf in cold oven set for 300 and bake for 2 hours and 15 minutes.
