Pickled Beets
Ingredients:
2 1 lb. cans sliced beets
1 1/2 c. sugar
3/4 c. vinegar
2 three inch sticks cinnamon
A few cloves

Directions:
Drain beets, reserving liquid in saucepan. Add sugar, vinegar and spices to reserved liquid. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Pour over beets; cool. Cover and refrigerate at least 8 hours. About 3 c. beets.
