Sauerkraut Casserole
Ingredients:
1 lb. mild Italian sausage, cut into 1" slices
1 large onion, chopped
2 medium apples, peeled and quartered
1 can (27 oz.) sauerkraut, undrained
1 c. water
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 tsp. caraway seeds
Fresh parsley, optional

Directions:
In a skillet, cook sausage and onion until sausage is brown and onion is tender; drain. Stir in apples, sauerkraut, water, brown sugar and caraway seeds. Transfer to a 2 1/2 qt. baking dish. Cover and bake at 350 for 1 hour. Garnish with parsley if desired.
Makes 6-8 Servings
