Ingredients:
1 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 eggs
3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
9 oz. mincemeat
1 c. shortening

Directions:
Preheat oven to 375. In a large mixing bowl, beat shortening and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs, beat well. Combine dry ingredients; gradually add to shortening mixture. Mix well. Stir in mincemeat. Drop by teaspoonfuls, 2" apart. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool. Frost if desired. Makes 6 1/2 doz.
