Elderberry-Apple pie
Ingredients:
unbaked 9" pie shell
2 c. elderberries
1 1/2 c. chopped tart apples
1 c. sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
3 Tbs, quick-cooking tapioca
2 Tbs. flour

Directions:
Combine elderberries, apples, sugar,salt and tapioca, crushing berries with a spoon. Spoon mixture into pie shell; dot with butter; top with pastry lattice. Bake in hot oven (400) 35 to 40 minutes, or until apples are tender and crust is golden.
