Old Fashioned Oatmeal Cookies
Ingredients:
3/4 cup shortening
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
3 cups instant or regular oats
1/4 cup water
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. soda

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350. Beat together shortening, sugars, egg, water and vanilla until creamy. Add combined remaining ingredients. Mix well. Drop by rounded tsp. onto greased cookie sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes.
