Scotch Shortbread
Ingredients:
4 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 lb. butter (no substitutes)

Directions:
In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and sugar. Cut in butter until mixture resembles fine crumbs. Knead dough until smooth, about 6-10 minutes. Pat dough into a 15x10x1" baking pan. Pierce with a fork. Bake at 325 for 25-30 minutes or until lightly browned. While warm, cut into squares. Cool. Makes 4 dozen.
