Shrimp Chowder


1 lb. shrimp, steamed, peeled, halved
2 medium sized carrots, diced
3 stalks celery, diced
4 medium sized potatoes, diced
1/2 lb. butter
2 c. half and half
1/8 c. Old Bay Seasoning
1/2 tsp. white pepper
1/2 tsp. black pepper
1 Tbs. basil
1 tsp. chicken base


Combine potatoes, carrots and celery. Cook until soft, leave enough water to cover. Add everything but shrimp and basil. Cook slowly until soup slightly thickens. Add shrimp and basil.
