Au Gratin Potatoes
Ingredients:
1 stick butter
1 onion
2 c. milk
American sliced cheese
Cheddar cheese, mild
6-8 potatoes
Flour

Directions:
Heat oven to 350 to 375 degrees. Slice potatoes 1/8" thick lengthwise. Place 1 layer of potatoes in clear casserole dish. Sprinkle 1 lg. Tbs. flour on layer of potatoes. Take 5 or 6 slices of butter on first layer of potatoes. sprinkle onions and sliced American cheese on top of potatoes (approximately 1 1/2 slices). Then fill in the spaces with Cheddar cheese. Lay second layer of potatoes and repeat process. When complete, fill the dish 1/2 full with milk, cover and put in oven for about 1 1/2 hours.
