Buttermilk Cookies
Ingredients:
1 lb. butter or margarine
3 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
3 eggs
6 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. buttermilk
1 heaping tsp. baking soda mixed with a small amount of water for paste

1/2 tsp. vanilla

1 heaping tsp. baking soda mixed with a small amount of water for paste
Directions:
Cream butter, sugar and salt. Add eggs one at a time. Add buttermilk and flour alternately. Add baking soda and vanilla. Place heaping tsp. on baking tray. Bake at 350 for 10 minutes.
FROSTING:
4 oz. softened cream cheese
4 Tbs. butter, softened
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. 10x sugar
Cream butter and cream cheese, add vanilla. Slowly add 10x sugar and beat until fluffy. Frost cookies and sprinkle with colored sugar.
