Cheese Straws
Ingredients:
4 c. finely shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
1/2 c. butter, softened
2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. ground red pepper
4 c. finely shredded sharp Cheddar cheese

1/8 tsp. ground red pepper
Directions:
Combine cheese and butter in a large mixing bowl; beat at med. speed of an electric mixer until blended. Combine flour, salt and pepper; add to cheese mixture, beating until dough is no longer crumbly. Press dough through a cookie gun fitted with a 1 1/2 x 1/8" disk, making long strips of dough 2" apart on greased baking sheet. Cut dough crosswise into 3" strips. Bake at 350 for 13 or 14 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool on wire racks Yield: 7 1/2 doz.
