Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups cornmeal
1/2 cup flour
4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup milk
1 egg, beaten
1/4 cup oil
sugar to taste

Directions:
Mix cornmeal, flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Mix milk, egg and oil. Add milk mixture to cornmeal mixture. Stir only enough to mix. Preheat a greased baking pan. Then fill the pan 1/2 full. Bake at 425 about 25 minutes or until light brown.
