Green Bean Salad
Ingredients:
1 lb. green beans
2 small onions
6 slices bacon
1/3 c. vinegar
2 1/2 Tbs. sugar
1/2 tsp.salt

Directions:
Cut the beans into 1" pieces. Cook them for 15 to 20 minutes or until they are tender. Drain them thoroughly and put them into a bowl, Keeping them warm. Meanwhile, clean the onions and cut them into 1/8" thick slices. Separate the onions rings and put them into the bowl with the beans. Dice and fry the bacon until it is crisp, without pouring off the drippings.Then add to the bacon the vinegar, sugar and salt. Heat this mixture to boiling, stirring well. Pour the bacon/vinegar mixture over the beans and onions and toss it lightly to coat them thoroughly.
