PA Dutch Sugar Cookies
Ingredients:
1 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 Tbs. vanilla
4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. sweet milk or buttermilk
1 c. shortening

Directions:
Cream shortening, sugar, eggs and vanilla. Add dry ingredients alternately with milk. Mix well. Drop on lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 for 12 minutes.
Before baking you can put raisins or nuts on top of cookies, if desired.
