Ingredients:
1/3 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 c. sifted cake flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
3 egg whites

Directions:
Cream together shortening and sugar.Sift flour and baking powder. Mix together salt, vanilla and milk. Fold in walnuts and egg whites. Bake in loaf pan 45 minutes at 350 or in a 9" cake pan for 25 minutes at 350. Dust with powdered sugar.
