Apple Pie
Ingredients:
Pastry for double 10" pie
1 c. sugar
1/3 c. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
1/8 tsp. salt
8 to 10 thinly sliced apples
2 Tbs. butter
Pastry for double 10" pie

1 tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
1/8 tsp. salt
8 to 10 thinly sliced apples
2 Tbs. butter
Directions:
Heat oven to 425 degrees. Combine sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt in a small bowl. Sprinkle over apple slices. Toss lightly until apple slices are completely coated. Spoon filling into unbaked pie shell. Dot with butter. Cover with top crust; flute and vent crust. Brush with melted butter. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes or until top crust begins to brown. Reduce heat to 400. Bake for 40 minutes. Cool to room temperature before serving.
