Blackberry Jam Bars
Ingredients:
1/4 c. plus 3 Tbs. butter, softened
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 c. flour
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. quick-cooking oats, uncooked
3/4 c. blackberry jam
1/4 c. plus 3 Tbs. butter, softened

Directions:
Cream butter; gradually add sugar, beating well at medium speed. Combine flour, soda, and salt; add to creamed mixture, mixing well. Stir in oats. Press half the mixture into a lightly greased 8" square pan. Top mixture with jam, spreadimg to within 1/4" of edge. Press remaining crumb mixture firmly on top. Bake at 400 for 30 minutes. Cool and cut into bars. Makes about 2 dozen.
