Blueberry Nut Bread
Ingredients:
2 Tbs. melted shortening
2 c. buttermilk
5 c. flour
5 tsp. baking powder
2 c. blueberries
2 c. sugar
2 beaten eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped nuts

Directions:
Mix shortening, sugar, buttermilk and beaten eggs together. Sift flour, soda, baking powder and salt together; add berries and nut meats. Combine the 2 mixtures. Pour into 2 greased 9x5" loaf pans. Allow to stand 20 minutes. Bake at 350 for 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Remove from pans and cool on rack.
