Chicken Pot Pie
Ingredients:
one 2 1/2 pound chicken
3 quarts water
1 cup carrots, cut into 1/2 inch pieces
1 cup celery, cut into 1/2 inch pieces
1/2 cup onion, chopped
1 tsp. parsley flakes
3 chicken bouillion cubes

POT PIE DOUGH
3 1/2 cups flour
2 cups milk
1/2 tsp. shortening
1 egg
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking powder
one 2 1/2 pound chicken
3 quarts water
1 cup carrots, cut into 1/2 inch pieces
1 cup celery, cut into 1/2 inch pieces
1/2 cup onion, chopped
1 tsp. parsley flakes
3 chicken bouillion cubes

POT PIE DOUGH
3 1/2 cups flour
2 cups milk
1/2 tsp. shortening
1 egg
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking powder
Directions:
Boil chicken in water until meat separates from bone.Remove to cool, saving the broth. Combine the remaining ingredients except dough. Remove and discard bones from meat. Boil for 15 minutes, add chicken, dough squares and boil for 15 minutes more.
POT PIE DOUGH
Combine all ingredients and mix well.Flour working surface and roll dough to 1/4 inch thickness. Use table knife to divide dough into 1 1/2 inch squares Chill 15 minutes before using.
Makes 4 Servings
