Chocolate Sour Cream Cake
Ingredients:
2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1 1/4 tsp.baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. water
3/4 c. sour cream
1/4 c. shortening
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs.
4 oz. unsweetened chocolate, cut in pieces, melted, cooled
SOUR CREAM CHOCOLATE FROSTING
3 c. powdered sugar
1/4 c. sour cream
1/4 c. butter, softened
3 Tbs. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
3 oz. unsweetened chocolate, cut in pieces, melted, cooled

SOUR CREAM CHOCOLATE FROSTING
3 c. powdered sugar
1/4 c. sour cream
1/4 c. butter, softened

Directions:
Grease and flour two 8 or 9" round cake pans; line bottom of pans with waxed paper. In medium bowl, combine flour, sugar,baking soda, salt and baking powder; blend well. In large bowl, combine remaining cake ingredients; add dry ingredients. Blend at low speed until moistened; beat 3 minutes at high speed. Pour batter into greased, floured and lined pans.
Bake at 350 for 30 to 40 minutes or until it tests done. Cool 10 minutes; remove from pans. Cool completely.
In small bowl, combine all frostimng ingredients at low speed until moistened; beat at high speed until smooth and creamy. Assemble cake and frost.
