Sour Cream Hermits
Ingredients:
1/2 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1 c. sour cream
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/8 tsp. cloves
1/2 c. chopped fruit
1/2 c. raisins
1/2 c. chopped nuts
candied cherries
1/2 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1 c. sour cream
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/8 tsp. cloves
1/2 c. chopped fruit
1/2 c. raisins
1/2 c. chopped nuts
candied cherries
Directions:
Heat oven to 375 degrees. Cream butter and gradually add sugar; beat until fluffy. Beat in egg. Blend in sour cream. Mix together flour, baking soda, nutmeg, cinnamon and cloves. Add to cream mixture; add fruit, raisins and nuts to batter. Drop 2" apart. Put a candied cherry on top of each. Bake 8-10 minutes. Makes 7-8 dozen cookies.
