Crab Imperial
Ingredients:
2 c. milk
4 Tbs. butter
4 Tbs. flour
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
Few drops Tabasco sauce
1 tsp. celery salt
2 hard-cooked eggs, chopped
1 lb. backfin crabmeat
Parsley, chopped
8 slices white American cheese
2 c. milk
4 Tbs. butter
4 Tbs. flour
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
Few drops Tabasco sauce
1 tsp. celery salt
2 hard-cooked eggs, chopped
1 lb. backfin crabmeat
Parsley, chopped
8 slices white American cheese
Directions:
White Sauce: In a saucepan, melt butter, then add flour (mix well), then stir in milk. Cook until thickened. Add salt, pepper, Worcestershire and Tabasco sauces and celery salt. After checking crabmeat for pieces of shell, place in a mixing bowl and mix in white sauce. Then add eggs and parsley. Put in 8 seafood shells and top each with a slice of cheese. Bake about 30 minutes until cheese is a pretty golden color, in a 325 degree oven.
