Fresh Strawberry Ice Cream
Ingredients:
2 qts. strawberries
2 c. sugar
3 qts. heavy cream
Pinch of salt
crushed ice
rock salt
2 qts. strawberries

Directions:
Clean and hull berries and sprinkle with sugar. Cover, allow to mstand for 2 hours; then mash lightly. Mix cream with salt and pour into freezer; freeze until mushy. Remove freezer cover and stir in strawberries. Re-cover and continue freezing until solid.
yields 1 1/2 gallons.
