Hawaiian-Style Parsnips
Ingredients:
2 lbs. parsnips
2 Tbs. brown sugar
1 Tbs. cornstarch
1 8 1/4 oz. can crushed pineapple
1/2 tsp. shredded orange peel
2 Tbs. butter
1/2 c. orange juice

Directions:
Peel and slice parsnips. Cook in boiling salted water till tender, drain well. In large saucepan blend brown sugar, cornstarch, and 3/4 tsp. salt, stir in undrained pineapple, orange peel, and orange juice. Cook and stir till thickened and bubbly. Add butter; stir till melted. Add parsnips to sauce. cover and simmer 5 minutes.
Makes 6-8 Servings
