Ingredients:
1 c. shortening
2 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
2 2/3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/3 c. milk
2/3 c. chopped raisins
2/3 c. chopped nuts
1 c. shortening

Directions:
Cream shortening, brown sugar and eggs. Sift together dry ingredients and add alternately with the milk. Stir in raisins and nuts. Drop by teaspoon onto greased baking sheet and bake at 350 for 12 to 15 minutes. Makes 5 doz. cookies.
