Ingredients:

1/2 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. sour milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. hot water
Pinch of salt

Directions:
Put all ingredients in bowl at once. Then beat well. Batter will be very thin. Bake at 350 for about 8 to 10 minutes.
