Sugar Cake
Ingredients:
3 c. flour
1/2 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 egg
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda

Directions:
Mix flour, shortening, sugar and cream of tartar until crumbly. Beat together egg, buttermilk and soda.Mix with crumbly mixture. Pour into 13 x 9 pan. Top with dots of topping. Bake at 350 for 25 minutes.
TOPPING:
Melt 1/2 c. butter, stir in 1 tsp. cinnamon and 1/3 c. brown sugar.
