White Onion Sauce
Ingredients:
2 lg. onions, sliced
2 Tbs, butter
1 c. boiling water
1/4 c. flour
1 c. milk
Salt to taste
1 egg yolk

Directions:
Wilt onions in butter, pour in boiling water. Bring to a boil. Mix flour with milk and salt and pour into sauce. Simmer for 20 minutes. Rub through a sieve, then add egg yolk, mixed well in 1/4 c. cooled sauce. Do not boil. Makes about 2 cups.
