Beef Stroganoff
Ingredients:
1 1/2 c. chopped onion
1/4 lb. butter
2 lbs. round steak
1 can tomato soup
1 can (6 oz.) tomato paste
1 can (4 oz.) mushrooms
1 c. sour cream
1/2 tsp. chili powder
1/4 tsp. basil
salt and pepper

Directions:
Slowly simmer chopped onion in 1/4 lb. butter about 20 minutes. Cut steak into thin strips and add to the onions. Continue cooking until no longer pink. Add soup, tomato paste, mushrooms and sour cream. Add spices and simmer for about 2 hours. Freezes well. Serve over buttered noodles.
