Honey-Apple Pie
Ingredients:
1/3 c. honey
2 Tbs. sugar
2 Tbs. cornstarch
1 tsp. cinnamon
Dash salt
2 Tbs. melted butter
6 to 8 medium cooking apples, peeled and sliced (7 1/2 c.)
Pastry for 2 crust pie
1 beaten egg
1 Tbs. coarse sugar
1/3 c. honey
2 Tbs. sugar
2 Tbs. cornstarch
1 tsp. cinnamon
Dash salt
2 Tbs. melted butter
6 to 8 medium cooking apples, peeled and sliced (7 1/2 c.)
Pastry for 2 crust pie

1 Tbs. coarse sugar
Directions:
For filling, in a large bowl combine honey, sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon and salt. Stir in melted butter. Stir in apples.
Fill pastry lined pie plate with apple filling. Place top crust on pie.Flute edges and cut vents in top of crust.
In a small bowl combine beaten egg and 1 Tbs. water. Brush pastry with egg mixture; add decorate shapes,if desired. Brush with egg; sprinkle with coarse sugar. Cover edge with foil to prevent overbrowning.
Bake at 350 for 30 minutes. Remove foil. Bake about 30 minutes more ot till pastry is golden and filling is bubbly. Cool pie on a wire rack.
