Mushroom-Provolone Hoagies
Ingredients:
4 lg. French rolls
Olive oil
1 sm. green pepper, cut into strips
1 sm. red pepper, cut into strips
1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced
1 sm. onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 tsp. dried Italian seasoning
2 c. shredded provolone cheese
4 lg. French rolls
Olive oil
1 sm. green pepper, cut into strips
1 sm. red pepper, cut into strips
1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced
1 sm. onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 tsp. dried Italian seasoning
2 c. shredded provolone cheese
Directions:
Mix peppers in a little olive oil, add mushrooms, chopped onion, and garlic; saute until tender. Stir in Italian seasoning; remove from heat. Spoon mushroom-pepper mixture evenly over bottom halves of toasted rolls. Top with cheese. Broil sandwiches 4" from heat 1 minute or until cheese melts. Cover with tops of rolls. Serve immediately.
Makes 4 Servings
