Old Fashioned Sugar Cookies
Ingredients:
2 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
2 eggs
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. sour milk
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
4 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. nutmeg
2 c. sugar

Directions:
Mix sugar, shortening, salt and eggs. Mix dry ingredients and add alternately with milk. Roll out dough on floured board, handling dough very lightly. Sprinkle dough with sugar and cut with a cookie cutter. Put on greased cookie sheets and bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes. Makes about 4 dozen cookies.
