Salisbury Steak
Ingredients:
2 lb. ground beef
2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 well beaten egg
1/4 c. chopped onion
6 crackers broken, soaked in milk
1 tsp. parsley
1/8 tsp. oregano
1/8 tsp. basil
2 lb. ground beef

Directions:
Mix all ingredients well. Shape into oblong patties and fry slowly. Place in baking dish. Make gravy and pour over patties. Bake at 300 for 45 minutes.
I leave the patties in the electric fry pann, adding water as needed and simmer for several hours. Make a gravy with the liquid in the pan. Return patties to the pan and simmer for awhile.
