Tasty Peach Muffins
Ingredients:
1/2 c. chopped peaches
1/3 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 c. milk
TOPPING
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. melted butter
1/2 c. chopped peaches
1/3 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 c. milk
TOPPING
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. melted butter
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar. Add egg; mix. Stir in flour, baking powder, salt and nutmeg alternately with milk. Stir in peaches. Fill greased muffin cups 2/3 full. Bake 20 to 25 min. at 350. Mix cinnamon and sugar for topping. Immediately dip muiffin tops in melted butter and cinnamon-sugar mixture. Serve hot. Yield: 1 doz.
