Violet Jelly
Ingredients:
Directions:
Gather 3 c. heads of purple violets and pour 1 qt. boiling water over these. Let stand 24 hours, drain and add to 3 c. of liquid, and juice of 1 1/2 lemons, 1 pkg. Sure-Jel and 4 c. sugar. Boil hard for 1 minute, stirring constantly. Pour into glasses and cover with parafin.
