Ingredients:
2 c. dry bread crumbs
4 c. milk, scalded
2 eggs
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. raisins

Directions:
Soak bread crumbs in milk until soft. Beat eggs until light; add sugar, salt, vanilla and raisins. Mix thoroughly with bread mixture. Pour into a greased baking dish and bake for 1 hour at 350 until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Serve warm or cold with any desired sauce.
