Buttermilk Buckwheat Cakes
Ingredients:
2 c. buckwheat flour
3/4 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 c. buttermilk
1 1/4 c. milk
1 Tbs. shortening

Directions:
Measure and sift dry ingredients together. Add milk gradually, stirring constantly to make a smooth batter. Add melted shortening. Bake on hot griddle. Makes 8 medium sized cakes.
