Mushroom Appetizers
Ingredients:
36 medium-size fresh mushrooms
3 Tbs. melted butter
1 sick softened butter
2/3 c. grated Monterey Jack cheese
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
2 Tbs. red table wine
2 Tbs. soy sauce
1 tsp. onionpowder
1/2 c. crushed Fritos corn chips
36 medium-size fresh mushrooms
3 Tbs. melted butter
1 sick softened butter
2/3 c. grated Monterey Jack cheese
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
2 Tbs. red table wine
2 Tbs. soy sauce
1 tsp. onionpowder
1/2 c. crushed Fritos corn chips
Directions:
Remove the stems from the mushrooms and wash and dry the caps. Brush them with the melted butter and set aside. Combine the soft butter, grated cheese and chopped garlic in a bowl. Add the remaining ingredients and stir together to form a paste. Fill the caps with the mixture, mounding the top neatly. Place on a baking sheet about 5" beneath the oven broiler and broil for about 3 minutes or until stuffing is bubbling and lightly browned. Serve while hot. These may be prepared well in advance and referigerated until needed. Allow to come to room temperature 30 minutes before broiling.
